is birthright a prostitution ring?

hey you guys. back in the day (ca 2007) when i attended birthright it seemed like a pretty chill organization. just welcoming Jews home, y’know, because it’s our right.

i have to say i had one of the most memorable experiences of my life on that trip. I even went on facebook and scanned in all the pictures from my time there. found the official “birthright 2007” facebook group and reminisced with some of my old buddies about the CRAYZY times we had. it seems s00000 long ago..

seems like right after we got off the plane when we were greeted by a bunch of hot military boys and girls who invited us to their family’s moshav. that night we were smoking weed out in the middle of a beautiful field and giggling as we tried to learn some more hebrew words. i think someone had a guitar. it was the first time I had ever smoked weed before so I felt kind of “vulnerable,” but in a good way. i hadn’t even gotten over my jet lag!!!

since then i’ve been “temple shopping” in brooklyn and trying to find a way to get back to ha’aretz. birthright was free and now i don’t have the money to go back (via PT admin asst./freelance graphic design job). so now I’m kind of embittered and sad because i’m not sure if I want to make aliyah but i really want to go again.

ANYWAYYY the whole thing is starting to piss me off and now when I see those birthright ads in the bronfman center all of the girls in them look like whores. am i just jealous you guys?

…which made me start to wonder.. seems like all their imagery is of pretty girls beckoning you to their holy land or something. (h8 objectification of women!!!!) is israel intentionally sexualizing its fair-skinned female population to exploit for tourism/investment/settling in the west bank with a sex slave? or is the whole thing just an international trafficking front for a much larger prostitution ring?
